The owner of a rare Mandarin duck who was stolen believes his "wife" has died of a broken heart.

Morag McDuck passed away yesterday 5 days after her mate Hamish was stolen from their farm just outside Pitlochry.

Distraught owner Suzi Anderson says the pair were inseparable.

She's been talking to our reporter Lizzie Parker.

Her appeal for Hamish's return has garnered hundreds of shares and concerned comments on Facebook and a £500 reward has even been offered for his return including donations from concerned animal lovers.

Suzi is appealing for the person who took Hamish to return him to her farm or to bring him to their local vet.
