The first Perth Racecourse Grandstand tickets offered to the public since before the pandemic have sold out in just 48 hours – leaving only Park & Picnic Bubble tickets available for this Thursday.

The team at Perth have been thrilled by the reaction of racegoers to the reintroduction of Grandstand tickets, which will see members of the public occupy that area of the venue for the first time in almost two years. The restricted numbers in the Grandstand this Thursday afternoon is the latest phase of the safe return of crowds to Perth – indeed Grandstand tickets have now sold out for fixtures on July 1st, 11th and 28th with only a small number remaining for July 27th.

As Perth joins much of the rest of Scotland in basking in glorious sunshine this week, racegoers can still secure their place at Thursday’s summer jumps meeting with a Park & Picnic Bubble ticket. This requires one ticket purchase (£80) for one car, which can be used by up to five people, equating to a cost of £16 per head (or £20 per head if car of four). The ticket allows car access to the racecourse picnic area for racegoers and their family or friend bubble, with trackside and big screen viewing of live jump racing. Picnics and picnic furniture are encouraged, with a café bar serving on site.

Perth Racecourse CEO Hazel Peplinski said: “The response to our limited tickets going on sale has been immediate and we look forward to welcoming these racegoers throughout July. The Park & Picnic Bubbles that remain offer a very safe way of enjoying the racing as each car has its own dedicated space for your picnic which you are permitted to bring with you.”
