There have been stories from around the world of Pokemon Go players taking all kinds of dangerous risks to catch them all but now youngsters in Perth are being told not to enter Friarton Recycling Centre.

Perth and Kinross council issued the warning after a number of people were spotted walking around the tip with their phones.

Under 12s and people not in a vehicle are not allowed onto the site.

The council says it's contacted the game's developer asking them to remove the virtual monsters from the area.

A council spokeswoman said: “Friarton Recycling Centre is a busy site where we accept a large range of materials over and above standard household recyclable waste. As such it is a busy site where there are a number of large vehicles moving items such as large household appliances, rubble, scrap metal, timber etc.

"We do not want to spoil anyone’s fun but we cannot have people wandering onto the site and putting themselves and others at risk.

"We have requested that the Pokemon be moved to a more suitable location so that people of all ages can continue to play as we’re aware they’ve ‘gotta catch ’em all’.”
