The entire Perth Leisure Pool building has been closed.

The move is being blamed on an ongoing boiler issue.

It follows the closure of the swimming pools at Christmas due to problems with the water temperature.

People will no longer be able to access the health suite and gym but the gym at Dewars centre's been suggested as an alternative.

A statement on the Perth Leisure Pool Facebook said: “Unfortunately, due to the ongoing boiler issue and with the drop in outside temperatures, the whole building is now closed, which includes the Health Suite & Gym.

“The Gym at Dewars Centre is available every day - open Mon-Fri 06:30-22:00 and weekends 08:00-17:00.

“We will provide an update on the situation later this afternoon. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
