The former Thomas Cook branch in Perth will re-open under new management - Hays Travel.
This morning the firm agreed to buy more than 500 thomas cook branches across the UK.
Now it's been confirmed those made redundant in the city will have a future.
Jackie Sutherland who managed the old site for 22 years said: "We will be opening back up again under Hays Travel. That's who we will be working for now.
"The aim is to get the store open as soon as possible. It's so exciting, the news is kind of unbelievable."
9,000 workers across the UK were made redundant when Thomas Cook collapsed last month.
Hays Travel has already employed 421 members of Thomas Cook staff since the travel group went out of business last month.
Nine workers were employed at the high street centre in Perth. It's not yet clear how many workers will be kept on but Jackie Sutherland is hopeful the majority will return.
"We're trying to get as many of the old team on board as possible," she sid.
"We're definitely opening in Perth and we'll get it done as soon as possible. It's now about getting all the recruitment done."
"The news is unbelievable, everybody is delighted that we will back together as a team, back together as a family."
The company plans to save up to 2,500 jobs across the UK
“This is an extremely positive outcome, and we are delighted to have secured this agreement,'' said Jim Tucker, a KPMG partner who was appointed joint special manager of Thomas Cook's retail division after the failure.
“It provides re-employment opportunities for a significant number of former Thomas Cook employees, and secures the future of retail sites up and down the UK high street.
