Police hunt for driver who assaulted man in Perth

Police are appealing for information after a 29-year-old man was assaulted in Perth following an altercation with another driver.

It happened at The Rookery, Perth, at around 5.45pm on Saturday.

Enquiries have revealed the incident may have occurred as a result of an earlier road traffic collision between a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver van in Perth.

The 29-year-old driver of the black Volkswagen Golf attended hospital and was later released following treatment.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, of medium to muscular build, between 20 and 30-years-old with short brown hair.

He was wearing a black hooded top, black joggers, and white trainers .

Detective Sergeant Sean McCabe, from Dundee CID, said:

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed an altercation between the drivers of a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver van to get in touch.

"I would also appeal to anyone who has dashcam footage, or any other information which they believe may assist us, to contact officers."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3678 of Saturday, 23 April, 2022.
