A 74-year-old woman has died after being hit by a vehicle in Dundee.

Pamela Cochrane passed away in hospital after being knocked down on Glamis Road yesterday around 5.10pm.

The driver was uninjured - police are asking for anyone with information to get in touch.

A Police Scotland statement reads: "Around 5:10pm, police received a report of a woman being struck by a vehicle on Glamis Road, Dundee. Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to hospital where she died.

"The deceased can be named as Pamela Cochrane. Her family has been informed.

"The road was closed for several hours as crash scene investigators examined the scene.

"The driver of the vehicle was uninjured, however, has been left extremely distressed by the incident.

"Officers are appealing for anyone who has information regarding the incident to contact them via 101, quoting incident number 2638 of 12 November 2019."
