Pensioner assaulted by gang of youths in Perth

Police are appealing for information after a pensioner was assaulted in Perth by a gang of youths.

The 67 year old woman was in Rannoch Road in the city Saturday 27th February when it took place.

Sometime between 2pm and 2.30pm she was standing at a bus stop opposite Scotbet when she was approached by a group of youths who assaulted her.

She sustained minor injuries and was able to get on the bus and leave the area. The victim had a purple shopping trolley with her.

The group are described as being four or five males and two females.

Police are keen to speak to a woman who may have witnessed the incident, she was in the area with a white Husky type dog.

Officers also wish to speak to anyone that may have witnessed the incident or was on the Number 1 bus in Letham and remembers seeing a woman with a purple shopping trolley.

Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or any police officer.
