Man, 42, killed after hit by car in St Andrews

A 42-year-old man's died after being hit by a car in St Andrews.

He was pronounced dead at the scene of the A91 at Old Guardbridge last night.

Three people in the car, including a four-month old baby, escaped uninjured.

The road was closed for several hours to allow crash scene investigation to take place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area with any information to contact us, in particular, anyone with dash cam equipment is asked to check their footage as it could hold images which could assist in our investigation.”
