Paul Hartley hopes Dundee improvement continues at Firhill

Paul Hartley is looking forward to getting another chance to show how far his Dundee team have come in recent weeks.

Hartley's side hit rock bottom with a 2-0 home loss to Partick Thistle on October 26, a sixth consecutive defeat which left them three points adrift at the foot of the Premiership.

But they travel to Firhill for the return fixture on Wednesday in seventh place after picking up four victories in the intervening two months.

It was the low point but it's been a turning point for us,'' Hartley said of the midweek defeat to Thistle.

We know we were bad that night and didn't perform, but we spoke to the players, changed everything: the system, the style how we played.

And there has been a terrific response from the team.''

Dundee's resolve was further highlighted by their 3-2 comeback win over Hearts on Friday night.

It shows that they have got it in them,'' Hartley said.To come back from 2-0 down against a good team, not many would have thought we could have turned it around.

The players deserve great credit - it shows there is a real desire about them and a good spirit among them.''
