It’s a year since an elderly man vanished from Pitlochry. William Elder was last seen at his home address in James Court, just before 11am on the 10th of December last year.

But, despite massive searches involving dogs and the police marine support team, there’s been no trace of the 81-year-old.

When last seen, he was wearing a green wax jacket, black loose fitting trousers and brown boots.

Mr Elder has difficulty walking and he has a very distinctive limp and normally uses a walking stick.

He is five feet tall, of slim build, and has brown, greying hair. Anyone who has information that could assist officers with their enquiries should contact Police Scotland on 101.
