OAP left seriously injured following crash at Monifeith roundabout

An 85-year-old man has been left seriously injured following a crash on the A92.

Emergency services were called at around 7:30pm last night to the incident involving a silver Hyundai ix20 crashed at the Ethiebeaton Roundabout in Monifeith.

The pensioner was taken to Ninewells Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as serious.

Tayside Road Policing Unit's Sergeant Steve Livesey is urging anyone who has information on the crash to get in touch.

He said: "We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this incident and are keen to trace any witnesses to the collision or anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash.

"If you have any information or dash cam footage that may assist officers with their investigation, please call police via 101, quoting reference number 3191 of Saturday, 17 September, 2022.."
