Neil Lennon set to 'leave' Celtic within 24 hours

Celtic boss Neil Lennon is set to leave the club within 24 hours - according to a report.

The Parkhead boss has been under pressure for months after a disastrous campaign where the club's 10-in-a-row dreams have been shattered.

Sunday's 1-0 loss to Ross County was the latest in a string of poor results this campaign - and it looks as if it could be the final straw.

According to the Scottish Sun, Lennon is on the verge of an exit with crunch talks taking place since the weekend.

It is also suggested assistant John Kennedy will take interim charge of the Hoops.

Supporters have been looking for change for months, with chairman Ian Bankier responding to those calls last week.

He said: "I must state clearly that all decisions we take will be taken calmly and rationally.

"We will not make hasty decisions that we might regret. There is considerable uncertainty as to how and when the game will get back to normal".

Speaking after Sunday's loss, Neil Lennon said: "It's a strange one, it's a game we should have won out of sight.

"I think it encapsulates the season really. We have dominated the game, dominated the chances - and they weren't half-chances, they were gilt-edged - and then we have conceded another set-play, which has been a real weakness for us this season. Really, really poor. And the build-up to the free-kick has been poor as well.

"But we came here and won 5-0 and didn't play half as well as we did tonight. That's football sometimes.''
