Scottish Conservative MP Ross Thomson has denied allegations made against him after reports of an incident in the Strangers Bar at Westminster.

Mr Thomson has indicated that he will refer himself to the party's disciplinary panel of the code of conduct.

The Conservative Party this week said that it would investigate the allegations made against the Aberdeen South MP.

Metropolitan Police said they were called to a bar in the Palace of Westminster on Tuesday night after a report of “sexual touching”.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Conservatives said: "The party’s investigation process will now take this matter forward.”
