Mountain rescue teams have joined more than a dozen dedicated officers to search for a missing Perthshire man.

Martyn Cruickshank was last seen at 10pm at Turretbank Drive, Crieff, on Monday October, 15, and concern for the 42-year-old’s wellbeing is growing.

Specialist search units, air support and search and rescue dogs have also helped search for him.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We would like to thank the numerous members of the public who are assisting us and are participating in an organised search.

“Martyn is described as being 5ft 9ins tall, with dark hair and of slim build. He is thought to be wearing a distinctive red Helly Hansen ski jacket.

“We would like to ask anyone in the Crieff, Comrie and adjoining rural areas who has a shed, garage or outbuilding to check it in case Martyn has sought refuge within.

“Also, if anyone in these areas has private CCTV, please check this, or let us know you have it.

“If anyone has seen Martyn since Monday, or has information that could assist us in tracing him, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Our reference is incident 3021 of 16th October.
