Motorcyclist killed in Angus crash
Three others had minor injuries after the accident
A motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident in Angus.
The accident happened about 4.30pm on Sunday on the B9113 Forfar to Montrose road near Fledmyre Quarry and involved a black Triumph motorcycle and a beige Hyundai motor car.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 56 year old man, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
Three people in the car were taken to hospital and were released after treatment for minor injuries.
The road was closed in both directions to allow investigation into the circumstances and was opened around 10.30pm.
Officers are appealing to witnesses who may have been travelling on the B9113 and who may have seen either of the vehicles prior to the collision, or who have any information to assist with enquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.
