Motorcyclist from Dundee killed following collision in Stirlingshire

A 49-year-old man from Dundee has died following a motorcycle crash in Stirlingshire.

Scott Forbes was travelling west on the A85 yesterday afternoon when he was involved in a collision close to Lochearnhead shortly after 1PM.

Mr Forbes was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

The road was closed for almost six hours while road policing officers carried out an investigation.

The motorcycle, a Honda CBR Fireblade, is described as white with red and blue markings.

Sergeant Ruth Aitchison, from the Road Policing Unit in Stirling, said: “This has been a tragic incident where a motorcyclist has sadly died."
