More than a quarter of a million Scots received first vaccine dose
The First Minister says the rollout of the coronavirus jags are working well
More than a quarter of a million people in Scotland have now received a covid jag.
At today's coronavirus briefing, the First Minister says the rollout is progressing well but supply of the vaccines is a "little bit bumpy".
"We remain on track to complete first does vaccines of the JCVI priority groups 1 and 2 by the start of February," said Nicola Sturgeon.
"That includes care home residents, health and care staff and everyone who is aged and over 80.
"264,991 people have now received their first dose of vaccine. Thousands are now taking place everyday the NHS Louisa Jordan in Glasgow and work is ongoing to establish futrher major vaccination sites."
That comes as troops start setting up another 80 vaccination centres across Scotland.
They're being drafted in to assess suitable locations and help to deliver the vaccines.
The First Minister confirmed there've been no further covid deaths recorded in Scotland in the last 24 hours.
Another 1,429 new cases were detected, with 1,959 patients in hospital with the virus. 146 of these are in ICU.
