Five figure sum of money and jewellery stolen from Montrose shop

A five figure sum of money and jewellery have been stolen from the General Supply Store, Bridge Street in Montrose.

Police are appealing for information after the incident occurred on Wednesday 31st August.

The theft is believed to have taken place between 3.30pm and 4.20pm and officers would like to speak to two men who ran from the shop at the relevant time.

Both men are described as mid to late 20s or early 30s, white, medium build, short dark hair, about 5’10” or taller. One was wearing a navy blue jacket and black jogging bottoms, the second was wearing dark jogging bottoms and an orange, long-sleeved hi-vis work top.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact 101 quoting incident 2983 of 31 August, 2022. Alternatively, a call can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
