Police in Fife are continuing to target anyone involved in illegal drug activity after officers in Levenmouth seized a significant quantity of cannabis in a day of action. Acting on intelligence, police recovered the class B drugs, which have a street value of approximately £8700, and a sum of money from an address in Morar Street in Methil on Friday, September 23rd. A man and woman, who are both aged 33, were subsequently arrested and charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act. They have since been reported to the Procurator Fiscal. Community Sergeant Craig Fyall from Levenmouth Police Station said: “As a result of this activity, local officers have successfully prevented a significant amount of drugs from reaching the community. “This is another example of positive action taken to remove illegal drugs from our streets, which has served a damaging blow to the local drugs network. “I can reassure the public that we will always act on information that is passed to us and if anybody has any information in relation to drug dealing in their area then they can contact police on 101. Alternatively an anonymous report can be made through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
