Man In Wheelchair Assaulted And Robbed In Broughty Ferry

The 52-year-old was attacked at King Street’s junction with New Road on Monday night.

A man in a wheelchair has been assaulted and robbed in Broughty Ferry. The 52-year-old was at King Street’s junction with New Road at around 9pm on Monday night when he was approached by a man who attacked him and took his shopping bag from the back of his chair, which was recovered a short time later.

The man was left with minor injuries, but did not need medical treatment and now police are appealing for witnesses.

The suspect is described as being about five feet seven inches tall, in his early twenties of medium build, with dark-coloured hair and facial hair.

At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with a dark-coloured t-shirt, blue-coloured jogging bottoms and blue-coloured trainers.
