Man seriously injured following fire in Dundee flat
One man has been taken to hospital and several people have been injured after a fire broke out at a first floor flat in Dundee.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at the property on Kinghorne Road shortly before 9am on Sunday.
Police, fire and the ambulance service attended at the scene and a number of nearby roads were closed whilst the fire was brought under control. It's understood that 7 people, including 2 children, were treated for minor injuries at the scene and one man has been taken to Ninewells Hospital for further treatment.
Police say the cause of the fire remains unexplained and a joint police and fire investigation is to be carried out.
