Man in critical condition after Brechin crash
Police are appealing for information after the crash on Friday afternoon
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after an HGV lorry and a van crashed near Brechin on Friday afternoon.
The incident happened around 2:45pm on March 14 on the southbound carriageway of the Aberdeen to Dundee road.
The driver of the van was taken to hospital where medical staff have described his condition as “critical”.
The driver of the HGV did not require medical treatment.
The road was closed for nearly seven hours, reopening at around 9.30pm.
Constable Liam Pattie said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact us with any information.
"If you have dash-cam equipment, please check it for any footage which could assist our ongoing investigation."
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 2034 of March 14.
