Man found injured in Dundee city centre

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was found around 8am on Thursday, 2nd June

Police in Dundee are appealing for information after a man was found injured by a member of the public in the city centre around 8am on Thursday, 2nd June.

The 45-year-old was found on a path between West Marketgait and Yeaman Shore with serious head and facial injuries.

He was then taken to Ninewells Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service where his condition is described as serious but stable.

Police say enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers say they are keen to speak to a man they believe can assist with their investigation.

The police describe the man as aged in his mid-40s and of average build and may have been wearing a blue Scotland football shirt, jeans and trainers.

Detective Sergeant Craig Kelly, said: “We need to establish what happened to this man and I am asking anyone who was in the area and saw anything to get in touch.

“We believe the man described can help so I am asking him to call us. In addition, anyone who was driving in the area and has dash-cam that could help should also get in touch along with anyone with private CCTV.
