Man dies after three vehicle crash between Kincardine and Kinross

The 57-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 57-year-old man has died after a three vehicle crash on the A977 road from Kincardine to Kinross last night.

Officers were called around 5.05pm to the incident near Forestmill.

A 17-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Hospital but later released and the driver of the third vehicle wasn't hurt.

The third male driver was not injured.

The road was closed while investigations were carried out and reopened around 11pm.

Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died at this difficult time.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appeal for anyone who witnessed the crash or who has any information which may assist us to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was on the road around the time and witnessed the vehicles prior to the crash or who may have dash cam footage which could assist us to contact us.”
