A 66-year-old man his died following a two car crash in St Andrews.

The incident occurred on Links Crescent, St Andrews with Police receiving a call at around 10:10am this morning, Monday 10th July, 2023.

The man died on the way to the hospital. The 51-year-old female driver of the other vehicle received a leg injury.

Emergency services attended the scene, with the air ambulance spotted landing at the towns famous Old Course.

The road has now been reopened following the incident.

A Police Scotland Spokesperson said: “A 66-year-old man has died following a road crash on Monday, 10 July, 2023.

"Police were called around 10.10am to a report of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Links Crescent, St Andrew's.

"Emergency services attended and the 65-year old man died on his way to hospital. The 51-year-old female driver of the other vehicle received a leg injury. The road has been reopened.”

Scotland's Air Ambulance Charity have been approached for comment.
