Man dies after being hit by a car in Montrose
Emergency services were rushed to the scene on Sunday evening
A 22-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Angus.
The incident happened on Coronation Avenue, Montrose, at 8.15pm on Sunday.
It was among a spate of other fatal crashes in Scotland over the weekend.
Emergency services were called after the man was hit by a Land Rover towing a trailer.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital, but later died.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Tayside Division on 101.''
The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.
