Man Dead In Fife Crash
A man’s died and two others injured in a Fife road smash. It happened on the outskirts of Newburgh at around 7 this morning. The A913 between Newburgh and Abernethy remains closed and diversions are in place. A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Fife responded to Abernethy Road at around 6.55am on Thursday 19th February following a two-vehicle collision involving a Volkswagen Golf and Toyota Hilux. "The male driver of the Volkswagen sustained serious injury and was pronounced dead at the scene. "Two men who were within the Toyota have been taken to Perth Royal Infirmary for treatment to various injuries. "The road is currently closed and enquiries into the full circumstances surrounding this collision are ongoing. "Anyone with information that can assist officers with their investigation is asked to contact police immediately."
