86-year-old man dead after being pulled from Fife harbour

The death is not being treated as suspicious

A man has died after his body was recovered from the water at Buckhaven Harbour in Fife.

The 86-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “We were made aware of a man in the water at Buckhaven Harbour around 11.35am on Wednesday, 15 September, 2021.

“The 86-year-old man was recovered from the water but was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
