Man charged with theft after spotted trying doors in Montrose

He was also reported being within gardens

A man in Montrose has been charged with theft-related offences.

The 39-year-old was arrested after police received reports of him trying houses and being within gardens in the Dorward Road to Rosehill Road areas of the Angus town in the early hours of Monday morning.

He has been kept in custody and is due to appear at court later today (Tuesday).
