A man has been charged over a lorry crash that caused significant damage to a number of parked cars and roadside gardens.

The incident happened in Cupar Road, Guardbridge, near St Andrews, at around 10.30am on Saturday.

Police said a skip lorry struck parked vehicles, lampposts and a wall before leaving the road and driving into a number of residential gardens.

The driver of the lorry suffered minor injuries but no-one else was hurt.
