Man charged in Perth pet store break-in inquiry

A man has been charged in connection with a break-in at a pet store in which a tarantula and a bearded dragon were stolen.

Police said three corn snakes, two heat lamps and cash were also taken from Perth Pet Centre in St Catherine's Retail Park.

Officers said on Wednesday a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident which happened between Thursday and Friday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: 'All the pets were returned to the owner. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.'
