Man arrested in connection with crash that killed two-year-old

A man has been arrested in connection with a car crash that killed a two-year-old girl and injured her brother and sister.

Harlow Edwards was walking along the pavement with her six-year-old brother and 17-year-old sister when two cars crashed on the road close to them in Coupar Angus, Perth and Kinross, on October 13 last year.

Four months on, police have announced a 23-year-old man had been arrested and charged over the incident

The toddler died at the scene of the crash on the A94 Forfar Road while her siblings were treated in hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: Police Scotland can confirm that a 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision on the A94 Forfar Road at its junction with Larghan Park, Coupar Angus, on October 13 2016.

A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.''
