A man and woman in their 50's are in hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Dunkeld.

It happened around 6:20pm on Monday near the A822 and involved a silver Toyota Rav 4 and Honda Crossover motorcycle.

The 59-year-old man, and pillion passenger, a 54-year-old woman, were taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

The driver and passenger of the car were not injured.

The road was closed while crash investigations were carried out and fully reopened around 8.10pm.

Police appealing for information

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen the vehicles involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage, to come forward.”
