Man airlifted to hospital after rural Perthshire crash

A driver has been airlifted to hospital for treatment to serious head injuries after his car left the road and hit a tree.

The man, in his early 20s, was driving the green Landrover Discovery on the A827 between Kenmore and Aberfeldy when the accident happened at 4.20pm on Sunday.

The emergency services attended and he was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to what the police said were “very serious head injuries”.

The two passengers in the 4x4, both men, were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
