Man Accused Of Raping Woman In St Andrews

A man's to stand trial accused of raping a woman after entering her St Andrews home uninvited.

Stephen Coxen's denied carrying the attack on September 14 2013 and a separate charge of stealing her mobile phone.

The 21 year old faced the allegations at the High Court in Glasgow.

The accusation includes claims Coxen removed the woman's clothes, seized her by the hair and also shook her violently.

Prosecutors allege he raped her while she was "intoxicated and unable to provide consent".

Maurice Smyth, defending entered not guilty pleas on his behalf.

Judge Lady Rae set a trial due to start later this month. The case is expected to last around five days.
