Loganair has confirmed its takeover of 16 Flybe routes won't affect soon to run services from Dundee to London City and Belfast.

The two flight paths will be re-introduced in the coming weeks, with a route to the UK capital's Stansted airport being offloaded as a result.

A Loganair spokesperson said: " This is Loganair picking up 16 routes from Flybe. This doesn't affect any existing routes or planned one's.

"Routes from Dundee to London City and Belfast will still go ahead as planned."

Around 300 Scottish jobs have gone with the collapse of Flybe.
