Tommy Gemmell, the last man to captain Dundee to a major trophy, has died, after a lengthy illness. He was 73.

The former Lisbon Lion spent 4 seasons at Dens as a player, skippering the Dark Blues to a League Cup triumph in 1973 and as manager he led them to promotion back to the top flight in 1979.
