Tributes are continuing for Dave MacKay, after the St Johnstone skipper announced his retirement from playing through injury.

Fitness concerns over a persistent hip problem made the 35 year old's mind up to call it a day.

The man nicknamed "Cup Tie" had his finest hour in 2014, when The Saints lifted The Scottish Cup, their 1st major trophy, beating Dundee Utd 2-0 at Parkhead.
