Dundee's Kane Hemmings has won the Premiership Player of the Month award for January.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The former Rangers and Cowdenbeath striker, who has 16 goals to his name this season, scored four times in six games as Dundee advanced to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup and held onto their top-six berth.
The month began with a 2-1 Tayside derby win, in which Hemmings netted the opener, and he went to score in the 4-2 win at Partick in the following week, before bagging a double in the 3-1 Scottish Cup defeat of Falkirk.
He was also on the scoresheet in the 2-2 draw with Motherwell at Dens Park on January 30.
Dundee will be hoping to leapfrog St Johnstone by beating the Perth side in their next match this Friday.
