A Dundee mum has helped launch a campaign to recruit blood donors, after she nearly died while giving birth to her daughter just eight weeks ago.

Jodie Small had a normal pregnancy, and a normal delivery, but just after daughter, Mabel was born, she suffered a hemorrhage, and lost around 45% of her blood supply.

She had to undergo three transfusions, and two months later, she has made a full recovery.

Today she helped launch the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service's winter campaign, which looks to find 6240 people to give blood before Christmas.
