A Dundee man who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at just 24 has been sharing his experiences with Tay News.

A Dundee man who was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease at just 24 has been sharing his experiences with Tay News.

Gary Jamieson, who is now 34, says he went off the rails after the diagnosis but now he's back on track helping others with the condition.

Difficulties with controlling his life after diagnosis combined with some severe reactions to medications meant Gary had a really rough time and it took a lot of support and interventions from family and charity, Parkinson’s UK to help Gary turn his life around.

He's had to give up work but he's now an active advocate for people with Parkinson’s.

His brother Grant was also diagnosed last year at just 29.

Together the brothers are trying to raise money for research and hope one day scientists will find a cure.
