The future of Perth City Hall is again in the spotlight as councillors debate a possible lifeline for the building.

It has been empty for the last ten years and the council wants to knock it down to make way for a civic square.

But two bids will be discussed by members today.

One would see the Edwardian building transformed into an indoor market with the other would see a luxury hotel put in place.
