The Lib Dems have gained a seat from the SNP at Perth and Kinross Council.

Liz Barrett topped the polls in Perth City South, it was vacated after long serving councillor Bob Band died earlier this year.

In the other vote in the north of the city, the SNP's Iain Massie was elected. He replaces Dave Doogan who became an MP for Angus last year.

It makes little difference to the overall party picture in Perth and Kinross Council, with the Conservatives remaining a minority administration
