Large-scale cannabis cultivation seized in Errol

550 plants were discovered in a disused industrial building in the Station Road area

Police have discovered a large-scale cannabis cultivation in Errol.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the discovery.

Officers searched a disused industrial building in the Station Road area at around 10:20am on Tuesday, 18th March, where a cultivation of around 550 plants was seized.

Police say enquires remain ongoing.

The total value of the recovery is yet to be established.

The man was due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 19th March.

Information from the public is 'vital'

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We continue to take action to disrupt the production and supply of illegal drugs in our communities, and information from the public plays a vital role in helping us do so.

"Anyone with concerns about drug-related activity is encouraged to report it to police via 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
