Tributes paid to 'little star' 11-year-old biker who died in Fife race track crash

Relatives of an 11-year-old boy who died in an off-road bike crash at a Fife race track say they are heartbroken.
Millar Buchanan from Larbert was pronounced dead at the scene at the East of Scotland Kart Club Crail on Saturday evening, after Police were called around 6.50pm.
His family have released the following statement through Police Scotland
It read: “We are truly heartbroken that we have lost our amazing, talented, beautiful boy in the most tragic accident, doing what he loved the most.
“We cannot describe how painful this is or how much we are going to miss our little star.
“We are completely overwhelmed with the kind wishes & words that we have received and want to send lots of love to each and every person who has shown their support.”
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and the Health and Safety Executive are aware.
Scottish superbike champion Callum Grigor also paid tribute to Millar on social media.
He said: "Millar was one of the most committed and talented young riders in Scotland and he was a true star of the future.
"I was lucky enough to share the track with Millar doing some coaching and playing around on minibikes and I cannot believe that this has happened.
"The world has lost a true little gentlemen and I am not alone when I say that he will be greatly missed by everyone in the racing community.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Andy, Pauline and all of Millar’s family and friends."
