Man in hospital with serious injuries after Kirkcaldy hit and run

Police are trying to track down the large black car that hit the 53-year-old on Salisbury Street

Officers in Fife are appealing for information following a hit and run in Kirkcaldy that's left a man in hospital with serious injuries.

It happened on Salisbury Street around 5pm on Monday June 13th.

The pedestrian was hit by a large black car that failed to stop at the scene.

The 53-year-old man was taken to Victoria Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Enquiries to trace the vehicle, which is believed to be a large black car, are ongoing and officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Lee Walkingshaw, of Fife Road Policing Unit, said:

“We are asking for anyone who was in the area around the time of the crash, or anyone with information on the vehicle involved, to please get in touch.

“I would also urge anyone with dashcam footage that could assist our investigation to contact police.

“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2672 of 13 June.”
