Investigation launched following fatal caravan fire at Perthshire fruit farm

Police are investigating following a fatal caravan fire at a fruit farm in Perthshire.

Emergency services arrived at the scene of the blaze at Mains of Errol farm in the Carse of Gowrie area in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The vehicle was found within a camp situated at the farm which is used by employees.

A spokesman for Police Scotland's Tayside Division said: "Police Scotland is currently investigating a fatal fire which occurred at Mains of Errol farm near Errol, Perthshire in the early hours of Sunday 31st July 2016.

"A joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is being conducted and enquiries are at an early stage."
