Investigation into helicopter Perth Airport crash continues
A man was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg after the incident on Tuesday morning.
Efforts to find out what caused a helicopter to crash at Perth Airport injuring an engineer are continuing.
The aircraft toppled on its side during routine maintenance on Tuesday, March 13, and the worker on board was rushed to hospital with a suspected broken leg.
Paramedic Craig McDonald was one of the first people at the scene:
"It was very fortunate that we were on the scene and heard the bang and we were there immediately.
"It's horrible to see and you're just hoping that no one is seriously injured."
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “One man has been taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg.''
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed it attended the scene.
A spokesman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 11.26am on Tuesday to assist emergency service partners at Perth Airport, Scone.
“Operations Control mobilised a number of resources to the scene.
“Crews will remain in attendance until the area is made safe.”
Graeme Frater, managing director of Perth Airport, added: “We are aware of a ground incident at Perth Airport today involving a helicopter.
“We are supporting all involved and will release more information when available.
