Inquest Opens Into Death Of Dundee Tycoon
Scot young was found dead outside his London penthouse on the 8th of December
Police are treating the death of property tycoon Scot Young, who plunged 60ft onto railings outside his £3 million penthouse flat as non-suspicious, a court heard. Young, 52, fell from the window of his luxury home in Montagu Square, Marylebone, on December 8. His death followed a vitriolic and public divorce hearing at the High Court in which he was ordered to hand over £20million to Michelle Young after a six-year battle. Today an inquest into his death was opened at Westminster Coroner's Court. A packed public gallery heard detectives have dismissed claims the bankrupt entrepreneur died as part of a plot involving his connections to Russian oligarchs. Coroner's officer Rosalin Tolson told the court Mr Young was identified by his brother-in-law Guy Van Ristell at Westminster Public Mortuary on December 15. His daughter Sasha Young also provided background details, the hearing was told. Westminster Assistant Coroner Angela Hodes said: 'The deceased was identified as Scot Guy Young, aged 52, born on 10/1/1962 in Dundee, a divorced entrepreneur. 'Mr Young was found impaled on railings outside 33 Montague Square with multiple injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene. 'Police are treating his death as non suspicious.' At the time of his death, Young was in an on/off relationship with reality TV star Noelle Reno. In March the High Court was told mother-of-two Mrs Young remained empty-handed more than three months after she was awarded £20 million by a judge. Neither she nor his family attended the brief hearing today. Westminster Assistant Coroner Angela Hodes adjourned the inquest for a review on January 12.
